That’s part of the post-earthquake reconstruction project that aims to revitalize Mirandola, one of the towns destroyed by the earthquake in May 2012.
In these images you can see some details of the complex of the old fascist barracks. The space is reused to create a little public theater and apartments for a social-housing system. All the flats are approximately 40/50m2, completely flexible in its forms and internal layouts.
The theater is designed using wood combined with an interlocking construction system, which gives anti-seismic properties to the entire structure (the new part and the original one).
